One of the unique things about we introverts is that we prefer to contribute only when we have something of value to add. I have little desire to change this, but we need to acknowledge that it may impact how our authority (or lack of it) is perceived. Expertise that is not visible or appropriately expressed has little value, and invisible expertise serves no one. When you choose not to share what you know, especially when it matters, you are not being modest, you are withholding value. Authority is not about status or seniority, it is about responsibility in the moment. So the real challenge is this; when will you feel able to stop holding back and start evidencing what you already know?
